about the securus

The official monthly newsletter of Operation Jump Start – Arizona is called SECURUS andwas created by SSG Seth Israel of the 123MPAD. Originally, SSG Israel was asked to create a joint Command Information publication for Task Force Sidewinder (one of 5 Task Forces at that time). After the first issue was released, Brig. General Whittington quickly recognized it was a publication worthy to represent the entire OJS mission for the state of Arizona.

Receiving further endorsements from State Adjutant General, Army Major General Rataczak, it was decided the production of SECURUS should become the responsibility of the state PAO. The September issue marked the last issue of SECURUS under the supervision of SSG Israel and SPC Samuel Castro.

The 123MPAD is proud to have two of their own lead by example in establishing what a joint publication can and should represent.
