The Officer Candidate School Program
The Officer
Candidate School (OCS)
program develops leadership and
management skills for soldiers in the Arizona Army National Guard. Only the motivated and determined individual will graduate and wear the gold bar of a Second Lieutenant.
OCS
training begins with a review of the basic soldier skills of map reading, first aid,
drill
and ceremony, physical conditioning, and care and wearing of personal equipment.
It challenges a soldier’s
physical and mental abilities with an emphasis on accuracy, completeness, responsiveness, and taking
responsibility for one's actions. This emphasis is true for the entire program.

weekend
