The 215th Regiment (RTI) Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS) accepts applications on a continuous, rolling admissions basis.

Step 1: Applicants must complete a WOCS Application and prepare a WOCS Application Packet containing all supporting documents. Forward the completed application packet directly to the RTI, hand-carry (if possible), or mail to:

Step 2: Contact SFC Gutierrez 602-267-2736 or MAJ MacDonald 602-267-2735 at the RTI to answer any questions relating to WOCS training. Contact the State Command Chief Warrant Officer, CW5 Chavez 602-267-2714 for additional information and to schedule an interview.

Applicants from the civilian sector:
The WOCS staff will coordinate with the AZ Army National Guard Recruiting Command regarding WOCS Enlistment Option candidate initial entry training and placement into the next WOCS class. Once an applicant has completed initial entry training, they will be transferred to their gaining unit. An applicant will remain in their assigned unit until the start of the next WOCS class.

Applicants from AZ National Guard Units must include endorsements from their current chain of command. These applicants will remain in their current unit until the start of the next WOCS class.

Step 3: Federal Recognition Board (Pre-Determination)
After the application packet is complete and all supporting documents are received. The Senior Army Advisor will conduct a Federal Recognition Board. This is conducted in a formal setting, similar to a job interview. The board usually consists of three officers who will review the WOCS application packet and ask further questions. Applicants should be prepared to discuss their military career goals, reasons why they would like to be a warrant officer, and how their technical experience and expertise will benefit themselves and the National Guard.

Step 4: Acceptance into WOCS.
An applicant, now a called a Warrant Officer Candidate (WOC) makes final preparations, coordinates with supply and administrative personnel to ensure they are prepared to begin WOCS.
