Arizona National Guard Adjutant General On April 7, 1999 Governor Jane Dee Hull named Brigadier General David P. Rataczak (later promoted to Major General) as the Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard. "General Rataczak has a long and distinguished record of service in in a variety of military assignments," said the Governor. "His experience makes him the ideal candidate to lead the Arizona National Guard." Rataczak has had command assignments at all levels in the Army, including serving as an Army aviator and combat leader in Vietnam. He also has considerable experience coordinating and managing responses to state emergencies. Rataczak officially assumed the Adjutant General position on 1 June 99 and was promoted to the rank of Major General later that year. |
