TRICARE - EARLY TRICARE

Some members of the National Guard and Reserve (collectively known as the Reserve Component, or RC), who are issued delayed-effective-date active duty orders for more than 30 days in support of a contingency operation, are eligible for “early” TRICARE medical and dental benefits beginning on the later of either: (a) the date their orders were issued or (b) 90 days before they report to active duty.

Casualty Assistance Training - HRC

A new Casualty Assistance Training and Resource Website is designed to help those who aid family members after a Soldier’s death. Created as a one-stop source for casualty training and, the website is home to the Army’s first standardized, Web-based, mandatory training curricula for casualty notification officers and casualty assistance officers. Users must have an Army Knowledge Online user ID and password. Though membership is not necessary to use the site, members do have the added benefit of sharing tips and lessons learned, as well as the ability to seek advice from fellow casualty support professionals.
Open Season Begins for Civilian Insurance Programs

The Air Force's Office of Personnel Management has announced an open season will be held Nov. 13 through Dec. 11 for three civilian benefit programs. The three programs are the Federal Employees Health Benefits, or FEHB, program; the Federal Flexible Spending Account, or FSAFED, program; and the new Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance, or FEDVIP, program. Enrollments for FSAFED are made via the FSAFED Website at http://www.fsafeds.com/ or by calling toll-free (877) 372-3337 or TDD (800) 952-0450. FEDVIP enrollment may be conducted by

The Post-Deployment Health Reassessment

The Post-Deployment Health Reassessment, or PDHRA, is part of the force health protection program. It extends the continuum of care for Service members’ deployment-related health concerns. The PDHRA provides education, screening, assessment and access to care for a wide variety of questions and concerns that you may have about your health after you return from deployment.

Our mission is to provide a full range of services to you and your family. We recognize that deployment may have an impact on your health and well-being. Our commitment is to programs that successfully safeguard your health and wellbeing. Our goal is to avoid or minimize any negative impact deployment may have had on your health.
TRICARE Reserve Select

TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) is a premium-based health plan that qualifying National Guard and Reserve members may purchase. TRS, which requires a monthly premium, offers coverage similar to TRICARE Standard and Extra.
Army Long Term Family Case Management (ALTFCM)

Army Long Term Family Case Management’s (ALTFCM) support coordinators personally provide ongoing support to Families of fallen Soldiers the months and years following their loss. ALTFCM is a service provided by the Army’s Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operation Center (CMAOC). To date, ALTFCM has served over 3,000 family members and distributed more than 600 million dollars in retroactive benefits.
