A tip to stay in touch while one is away The USO and the Family Literacy Foundation have announced the launch of the United Through Reading program at select USO centers worldwide.  This program helps deployed servicemembers and their children stay connected the medium of reading  aloud on video.  Troops can visit participating USO centers to be taped reading a children's book.  A copy of the book, DVD and instruction are mailed to the child and family home.  The USO supplies the recording equipment, books and packaging materials.
