Task Force Desert Hawk Chaplain
An Average Day in the Ministry Section

A day in the life of the Religious Support Team includes unit visits to check in and see how people are doing and to see if there is anything that the RST needs to be aware of. The Chaplain also visit the hospital to see what is going on there and check on the staff, personnel and patients. We also spend time in our offices at the chapel and provide support for activities and functions that are going on at the chapel and around the FOB. As with everyone else, we stand ready to respond in emergency situations which may arise.

Officer and NCO In Charge Comments

I am honored to be here and serving the men and women of Task Force Desert Hawk. Rest assured their care and well-being are my first priority. Watching them at work and at play fills me with a sense of purpose and I know my team and I are where we are supposed to be. As time goes on, I promise to become a lot more polished we will add more to the page.

Our Mission

The mission of the 1-285th ARB RST (Religious Support Team) is to provide religious support to the soldiers of Task Force Desert Hawk and other soldiers on the Forward Operating Base. As part of the religious support we provide soldiers with the opportunities to practice their faith. We also perform religious support at the Base Chapel, with the other Unit's Religious Support Teams located on the FOB. Another important duty is providing counseling for those soldiers in need and perform emergency ministry for the hospital.
