B Co. 640th/122nd ASB continues to be proud to represent Task Force ATLAS in the AVIM support of the 1- 285th, C2-82, A3-82 and 7-158th. With flight operations in high gear, the mechanics are working on multiple shifts to maintain the fleet of aircraft in combat readiness. Scheduled maintenance and inspections occur most often, but most importantly the mechanics often experience being called upon to quickly correct unexpected or unscheduled actions to
get an aircraft back to it’s full mission capability.

However busy the tempo may be, the unit personnel have still been able to keep it’s soldiers fit with squad PT sessions. St. Patrick’s Day was observed by several of our Soldiers by their participation in the 1st Annual FOB Salerno St. Patrick’s Day Run. SGT Chris Sheley finished 29th of 145 runners in the 10K. Other 10K runners included SPC Luis Avalos, SGT Philip Oliff, SPC Michael Clark, SPC Nathan Crosby, SPC Justin Dosker, SPC Anthony
Knowles, and SGT James Kuhlman. SPC Pedro Bandin finished 47th of 184 runners in the 5K. Other runners included SGT Ellis Murphy, SGT Demeric Marshall, SGT Daniel Rowland, SGT William Williams, and SPC Christopher Hogan.
