Be Resilient Program Overview
The Be Resilient Program is an initiative developed within the Arizona National Guard to promote mission readiness and retention by increasing the resilience of each Service Member and their Family. It reinforces the concept that it is the responsibility of each AZNG Member to access and utilize the programs and services that will be beneficial.
The Be Resilient Program is part of the newly instituted Total Force Team (TFT), which will focus on integrating and coordinating the efforts of all resilience and support programs for AZNG Members and their Families. Be Resilient offers a menu of training, resources, and support that can be customized to meet the unique needs of the Service Members and Families throughout the Arizona National Guard. The program focuses on engaging and coordinating internal Guard and external community resources to ensure that Guard members and families have the best support possible.
The program consists of a menu of consultation, baseline and supplemental training, crisis response and resources, which allows commanders and leaders the flexibility to tailor support for their Guard Members and Families.
One of the key components of Arizona's program is to ensure sustainability by being prepared and ready to quickly respond to any program changes due to funding or other external developments. There is an Air and Army Deputy position to ensure active engagement of both the Army and Air Guard in this effort.
A key aspect of the implementation of the Be Resilient Program is the Arizona Coalition for Military Families (ACMF), the public/private partnership focused on strengthening coordination and collaboration between the military, government and community within Arizona. Through the partnership of ACMF, the Guard will have access to a vetted network of public and private sector resources to help meet the needs of Guard members and their Families.
