Service members and veterans are some of our most productive citizens, bringing valuable skills and experience to the private sector. There are many programs and services in place to assist current and former service members with locating employment.
Arizona Military/Veteran Employment Portal
This free online resource is provided to all service members, veterans and their families. Through an interactive web-based system, the portal offers:
Military Skills Translator – Input your MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) and the system will automatically convert your specialty to the equivalent civilian human resource terminology. This ensures that you have the best opportunity to be matched with jobs in the civilian work world.
Online Resume Builder and Document Storage – Based on your MOS, any civilian employment history and education, the system instantly creates a resume optimized for job search. You can export and edit the resume and then store the resume and cover letters on the site. This can also be a useful tool for service members overseas who would like to begin their job search process prior to returning home.
Personalized Job Portal – All this information is then used to create a personalized job portal, which will display jobs in real time that match with your experience. You can adjust the search by type of position and also by location and the site re-searches immediately to show you the best job opportunities.
